The third of the "Maltese Prehistoric Sites" series is dedicated to the Mnajdra temple. 
Mnajdra is a megalithic temple complex found on the southern coast of the Mediterranean island of Malta. Mnajdra is approximately 500 metres from the Ħaġar Qim megalithic complex. It was built around the fourth millennium BCE and it is among the most ancient religious sites on Earth. The megalithic temples of Malta are described by the World Heritage Sites committee as "unique architectural masterpieces." and in 1992 UNESCO recognized the complex as a UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The coin depicts the Temples of Mnajdra in the center of its obverse. Above it, in three horizontal lines, the legend, while below, in two horizontal lines, the issuing country and the year of release, The initials "NGB" of the engraver appear on the right just below the motif.
