Portugal 2 Euro 2018 "250 years since the foundation of Ajuda Botanical Garden" UNC

Ajuda Botanical Garden was established in 1768, being designed by an Italian botanist, Domingos Vandelli, from Padua. It is the first botanical garden in Portugal projected to preserve, study and collect the most possible species from the plant world. 

The coin’s outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European Union.
