Malta 2,5 euro 2022 "The Lord of the Rings" in Coincard

The obverse features the most important figures in the franchise. On the right is the hobbit Frodo Baggins and next to him is his friend Sam and next to Gollum. You will also find other famous characters such as Sauron, Arwen, Aragorn II, Gandalf and Galadriel. The reverse of the coin depicts Legolas played by Orlando Bloom.

The obverse of the coin depicts in the center the White Tree of Gondor, the symbol of the continent of Gondor, which, according to the inhabitants, brought good luck. There is a famous text around the tree, which is also on the ring. The text says, “One Ring to rule them all, one Ring to find them, one Ring to gather them all and bind them in darkness.”
